The newly appointed Director General (D-G) of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Bukola Olopade, formally assumed office on Wednesday morning at the commission's headquarters in Abuja.
Olopade marked the beginning of his tenure with warm interactions with the Commission’s chairman, directors, and staff.

During a meeting with the Commission’s directors, Olopade engaged in meaningful discussions on key sports-related matters and outlined his vision for the Commission's future.
As part of his first-day activities, Olopade paid a courtesy visit to the NSC Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Dikko.
He expressed enthusiasm about working closely with the Chairman, describing their collaboration as vital to achieving the Commission’s goals of advancing Nigeria’s sports sector.
The newly appointed D-G also reaffirmed his commitment to dialogue, teamwork, and establishing a strong foundation for sports development in the country.
