Nathan Tella gains confidence from Super Eagles selection acknowledgment

On the eve of Bayer Leverkusen's Europa League encounter with BK Häcken, Nathan Tella took on media duties, hinting at his likely involvement in the upcoming fixture. The winger, a consistent starter in the Europa League this season, showcased his importance to the squad.

A product of the Hale End Academy and a summer signing from Southampton, Tella recently marked his presence in the Bundesliga by scoring his first goal. Prior to this, he represented Nigeria in the November internationals against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, making his starting debut in a World Cup qualifying match and becoming cap-tied to Nigeria for life.

Tella spoke to reporters in Gothenburg about the confidence he gained from his Super Eagles selection, emphasizing the positive impact on his mindset for the impending match against BK Hacken. He expressed gratitude for the opportunities to play in significant games, citing his unexpected journey from a year ago.

In addition to Tella, his international teammate, Victor Boniface, is set to feature in Bayer Leverkusen's matchday squad against BK Hacken, having traveled with the team to Sweden on Wednesday. The inclusion of both players highlights the international flavor within Bayer Leverkusen's ranks.
