The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr Abdullahi Sule, recently displayed his appreciation and support for Nasarawa United Football Club by presenting them with a generous gift of ₦2 million. This gesture was in recognition of the team's remarkable achievement of finishing second in the highly competitive NNL Super8 Competition and securing an immediate promotion back to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).

Hosting the Nasarawa United contingent at his residence in Gudi, the Executive Governor extended warm congratulations to the team for their commendable performance throughout the tournament. He particularly praised the players, management, and technical staff for their dedication and resilience, which culminated in the club's swift return to the premier league of Nigerian football.

The ceremony coincided with the festive occasion of Sallah Celebration, adding a festive atmosphere to the gathering. During the event, Governor Abdullahi Sule personally contributed ₦2 million to Nasarawa United as a token of his appreciation and encouragement for their future endeavors. Additionally, he generously donated ₦1.5 million to the supporters' club, acknowledging their unwavering support and enthusiasm throughout the season.

Among the dignitaries present at the event were Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima, Chairman of the Football Association (FA), Barrister Isaac Danladi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Youth and Sports, and Professor Ibrahim Othman, Chairman of Nasarawa United Football Club. Their presence underscored the significance of Nasarawa United's achievement and highlighted the strong support from both governmental and sporting bodies towards the development of football in the state.
