Moses Simon, the record-setting forward for Nantes, has been recognized in Whoscored.com's Ligue 1 Team of the Month for September 2024. This honor comes after a standout performance in which he contributed an assist during the Yellow Canaries' 1-1 draw against Angers SCO on September 22. With this assist, Simon achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the club's all-time assist leader in the French top flight.

Simon’s assist against Angers brought his total to 29, allowing him to surpass Emiliano Sala as the player with the most assists since Nantes was promoted to Ligue 1 in 2013. This achievement highlights Simon’s exceptional vision and playmaking abilities, which have significantly impacted the team's performance.

In addition to his assist in September, the 29-year-old forward was in fine form throughout August, netting two goals and helping Nantes secure consecutive victories following a season-opening draw with Toulouse. Continuing his impressive start to the season, Simon maintained a strong performance in September, recording two assists over three matches. The only match in which he failed to make a goal contribution was against Saint-Étienne, held at the Stade de la Beaujoire—Louis Fonteneau, where his efforts fell short.

Simon received a commendable rating of 7.73, ranking him as the fourth highest-rated player in the Team of the Month. OGC Nice led the selections with four players included, followed by AS Monaco with two, while Paris Saint-Germain, Stade de Reims, Olympique Marseille, Nantes, and RC Strasbourg each had one representative.
