MTN set to host Schools’ athletics Championships in three cities

As the biggest schools’ athletics championship—MTN CHAMPS—for 2025 draws near, the sole sponsor, MTN, has approved three cities as hosts.  


The 2025 edition of Nigeria’s athletics fanfare, in its third season, will take place in three iconic cities: Benin, Lagos, and Uyo.  


The first leg is scheduled to be held from the 13th to the 15th of March at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State, South-South Nigeria, while the second will take place in Lagos from the 9th to the 12th of April.  


The grand final is set to be held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, South-South Nigeria, from the 30th of April to the 3rd of May.  


Nigeria's telecommunications giant, MTN, remains the title sponsor.
