Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe is reportedly interested in signing Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, according to Sabah. The move is seen as an alternative to Tottenham's Pierre-Emile Højbjerg under Jose Mourinho's leadership.
Højbjerg's limited playing time in the Premier League last season has opened the door for a potential departure from Tottenham, making Fenerbahçe keen to capitalize on this opportunity.
However, Fenerbahçe faces competition from Atletico Madrid and Juventus, prompting them to explore other options apart from the Danish midfielder.
This has led to the pursuit of Ndidi, whose contract with Leicester City expires soon, although efforts are ongoing to persuade him to extend his stay with the Premier League side.
Last summer, Ndidi was linked with a move to Galatasaray, but after a standout season with Leicester City, a potential move to Turkey with Fenerbahçe is now on the cards, pending competition from other interested clubs.
Reports indicate that Spanish giants Barcelona and Everton are also interested in Ndidi, hoping to secure his services if he decides against renewing his contract with Leicester City.
Despite his strong performances for Leicester, Ndidi's recent outings with the Super Eagles in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin were less impressive, mirroring the team's struggles as they face challenges qualifying for the tournament.
