Morelos expressed hope and readiness for his Royal Blue friends, expressing anticipation for future meetings with Rangers

Alfredo Morelos, the 27-year-old Colombian striker, has made a move to Brazilian club Santos, marking his return to South America, just three months after his departure from Rangers. Morelos left Ibrox on a free contract at the conclusion of the previous season, and while he had garnered interest from several European clubs, he has now embraced this new chapter in his career.

In an emotional message on social media, Morelos emphasized that this is not a permanent farewell but a "see you later" filled with hope. He expressed his readiness to be there for his friends in the Royal Blue and conveyed his anticipation of meeting again with Rangers in the future.

Morelos joined Rangers from HJK Helsinki in the summer of 2017, leaving an indelible mark on the club. He amassed an impressive record of 124 goals in 269 appearances, claiming the title of top scorer in four of his six seasons at Rangers. Additionally, his 29 European goals set a club record, and he contributed 58 assists during his tenure.

Describing Rangers as his "dear soulful team," Morelos fondly recalled the unforgettable moments, including winning the league title and advancing to the Europa League final. He expressed immense pride and gratitude for every time he donned the Rangers jersey and highlighted the personal growth he experienced during his time at the club.

Morelos closed this chapter in his career with a heart full of gratitude, carrying the club's colors with him wherever his journey takes him.

Santos, under the management of Uruguayan Diego Aguirre, boasts a rich history, having clinched the Brazilian championship on eight occasions, with their most recent victory occurring in 2004. The club formerly associated with the legendary Pele also secured the Copa do Brasil in 2010.
