Monaco pursues Tottenham CB due to failed Tosin acquisition

French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco is reportedly considering pursuing a transfer for Tottenham Hotspur's central defender Davinson Sanchez, as their attempts to acquire Fulham's Nigerian talent Tosin Adarabioyo faced setbacks.
Monaco's offer of ten million euros for Tosin was turned down by Fulham, leaving them eager to secure a deal with Tottenham instead, while Sanchez, deemed surplus at Tottenham, has emerged as an alternative target for Monaco, as per French sports daily L'Equipe.
Sanchez has also garnered attention from Spartak Moscow and Galatasaray, with Strasbourg also monitoring his situation.
Monaco, after securing Ghana international Mohammed Salisu from Southampton, remains on the hunt for another central defender and had aimed to sign Tosin, although these efforts have proved unsuccessful so far.
Tosin's preference lies with a move to Monaco, asserting his unwillingness to be compelled into joining Tottenham against his wishes.
Although Tosin possesses only one year left on his contract, Fulham could command a substantial fee if he's transferred to a Premier League club during the summer transfer window due to his homegrown player status.
Despite participating in 25 Premier League games last season, Tosin was omitted from Fulham's season opener against Everton amid ongoing speculation about his future.
