Liverpool secured a dominant victory against Brentford, maintaining their perfect record at Anfield this season and climbing to the second spot in the Premier League. Mohamed Salah played a pivotal role, scoring twice and displaying remarkable form on home turf. His first goal, just before the break, came from a precise pass by Darwin Nunez, swiftly placing the ball beyond Mark Flekken.
 
The second, his 10th of the season, arrived in the second half, nodding in a cross from Kostas Tsimikas. Despite his brilliant performance, Salah narrowly missed a hat-trick, volleying over from a delivery by Trent Alexander-Arnold just before half-time.
 
Diogo Jota sealed the victory with a powerful strike, further solidifying Liverpool's dominance at home. Brentford, although resilient, faced challenges in breaking through Liverpool's defense. Their best opportunity, initiated by Bryan Mbeumo, was swiftly cleared off the line by Alexander-Arnold.
