Moffi replaces Orban; Dele-Bashiru debut for Super Eagles

Posted : 03 October 2023
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed the 25-player roster set to represent the country in the upcoming international friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique scheduled for later this month. One notable inclusion is Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, a standout player from Hatayspor, who has showcased an impressive performance during the season with the Turkish club, recording four goals and two assists in just seven appearances. Dele-Bashiru's excellent form has rightfully earned him a spot in coach Jose Peseiro's team.

Conversely, Gift Orban, a star from Gent, has not been called up for this particular set of friendlies. In his stead, Terem Moffi from OGC Nice has been summoned to the team, having been left out in the previous game against Sao Tome and Principe. However, his teammate, Jordan Torunarigha, has retained his position on the team.

In the offensive department, the familiar names and talents have been retained, featuring Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Moses Simon.
