Mikel Arteta Confident in Smooth Contract Extension with Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed confidence that his strong relationship with the club will ensure a smooth process for signing a contract extension. The 42-year-old Spaniard's current contract, which expires at the end of the 2024-2025 season, was anticipated to be renewed after the conclusion of the last campaign.

 

Under Arteta's leadership, Arsenal achieved a second-place finish in the Premier League last season, trailing Manchester City by just two points. Reflecting on his time at the club, Arteta emphasized his happiness and sense of value at Arsenal, stating that he loves representing the club and feels confident about the future.

 

Arteta remarked, "There is no update on the contract at the moment. What remains unchanged is my happiness and how valued I feel here. Our relationship is so good that I don't foresee any issues. Things will develop naturally and in the right way."
