Mike Brown Signs a New Contract with Premier League Team, Ollie Hassell-Collins Joins Leicester Tigers

Ollie Hassell-Collins has agreed to join Leicester Tigers ahead of the upcoming season, the club has announced. Hassell-Collins is the sixth player that new head coach Dan McKellar has officially signed, following the announcements earlier this year of Josh Bassett, Kyle Hatherell, Jamie Shillcock, and Finn Theobald-Thomas.
Additionally, they affirmed that Mike Brown will remain after this campaign.
In addition to Mike Brown signing a new contract, the Leicester Tigers have confirmed the acquisition of England winger Ollie Hassell-Collins.
"It’s the biggest club in England and it's hard to say no when they want to come and chat with you,” said Hassell-Collins. “It excites me a lot, being a part of the Leicester Tigers.
“I know some of the guys and am looking forward to being a part of the young group and what is a pretty crazy potential line-up in the back line.
“It’s a hell of a ground, Mattioli Woods Welford Road, and when you think about Leicester Tigers, you think about the stadium and crowd, how hostile it is, and it’s exciting to know I’ll be on the home side of that.”
Hassell-Collins earned his Six Nations debut last month for England, who lost to Scotland on the opening weekend.
He joined the London Irish academy in 2015 and has been with the team ever since.
Dan McKellar, the incoming head coach, added: “Ollie is a great addition to what is an exciting group, which I cannot wait to work with starting from next season.
“He is an international, who is already very experienced in the Premiership at a young age.
“The squad put together for next year is a great mix of youth and experience, which I hope Leicester Tigers supporters are as excited as I am about.” McKellar commented.
