Napoli has approved midfielder Michael Folorunsho's move to Hellas Verona on a season-long loan deal until June next year, following his extension of a contract that was set to end in 2024 with the Scudetto champions before embarking on his sixth loan stint.
The 25-year-old, who joined Napoli from Virtus Francavilla in 2019 for €1 million, has been on various loan spells to Bari (twice), Reggina, and Pordenone, accumulating significant experience in Serie B and Serie C with notable goal contributions.
Folorunsho's chance to debut in Serie A arises with Hellas Verona, despite their relegation-threatened finish last season, and his performances there could boost his prospects of a Super Eagles call-up given his eligibility to play for the Nigerian national team.
