The selection of Abia Warriors forward, Sunday Megwo, to Nigeria's Super Eagles Team B CHAN 30-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header against Ghana's Black Stars B later this month has brought excitement to the team.
The forward, who has been one of the standout performers this season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), has scored five goals and provided one assist in 12 games for Abia Warriors.

Megwo, who last featured in their 2-0 away defeat to Shooting Stars on Sunday in Ibadan, is expected to arrive at the Super Eagles B camp on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, where all the invited players will be training ahead of the first-leg clash against Ghana on December 22, at the Accra Sports Stadium, Accra.
The second leg will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
The Ochendo Boys' management has commended the Super Eagles' technical crew, headed by Austin Eguavoen, for deeming it fit to call up Megwo.
