McFadden on Rangers penalty: 'No complaints, can't argue'
Posted : 10 August 2023
Ex-Scotland player James McFadden supports the penalty decision favoring Servette against Rangers in the Champions League third qualifying round.
Although Rangers initially secured an early penalty advantage, Dessers extended their lead before Servette's Chris Bedia halved the score from the spot.
Referee Donatas Rumsas, with VAR assistance, awarded the penalty for Dessers' handball, and McFadden backed the call, highlighting that such actions in the box don't go unnoticed.
The teams will face off again at Stade de Geneva to determine the Champions League playoff round entrant.
