Marcus Rashford Denies Claims of Meeting New Agent

Posted : 02 January 2025

Marcus Rashford has vehemently denied reports suggesting that he is seeking a new agent to facilitate his departure from Manchester United. The claims emerged this week, alleging that the 27-year-old England forward had met with a prominent sports agency in an attempt to engineer a move away from Old Trafford. Rashford, however, took to Instagram to refute these accusations, calling them "ridiculous" and stating that he had never met with any agency nor had plans to do so.

The speculation about Rashford's future intensified after comments he made last month, in which he hinted at a potential move, expressing his readiness for "a new challenge." This came amid his struggles under new manager Ruben Amorim, who left the forward out of four consecutive matchday squads, including the high-profile Manchester derby. Rashford also remained an unused substitute in United’s recent defeat to Newcastle.

Rashford has experienced a significant decline in form over the past two seasons, with his goal tally in the Premier League this term standing at just four. As a result, the forward has been linked with several clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, who could potentially offer him a way out of his current predicament.

Despite the mounting rumors, Rashford's brother, Dwaine Maynard, continues to represent him, and the player has made it clear that no changes will be made in his representation. Rashford’s swift response on social media highlights his frustration with the ongoing false reports about his future.
