Manchester United survive Coventry City comeback to reach FA Cup final

In a thrilling FA Cup semifinal showdown at Wembley Stadium, Manchester United experienced both triumph and tension as they eventually emerged victorious against a resilient Coventry City. Initially, United seemed poised for a comfortable win, with goals from Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes putting them in a commanding position.

 

However, Coventry City, fueled by determination and spirit, launched a remarkable comeback that stunned spectators. Goals from Ellis Simms and Callum O'Hare brought them level, and Haji Wright's stoppage-time penalty added to the drama, forcing the game into extra time.

 

Despite Coventry's valiant efforts, it was Manchester United who prevailed in the end, clinching the victory in a tense penalty shootout. Though Casemiro missed a crucial penalty, United rallied back, ultimately securing their place in the final against rivals Manchester City, thanks to Rasmus Hojlund's decisive spot-kick.
