Manchester United sign goalkeeper Andre Onana for £47.2 million

Manchester United has finalized the signing of goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan for a transfer fee of £47.2 million (55 million euros). The 27-year-old Cameroon international has inked a five-year contract, with an option for a 12-month extension.
 
The deal includes an initial payment of £43.8 million, with the potential for additional add-ons amounting to £3.4 million. Onana, who previously played for Ajax, is scheduled to join the United squad during their pre-season tour in the United States.
 
Expressing his excitement about joining Manchester United, Onana stated, "To join Manchester United is an incredible honor. I have persevered throughout my life, overcoming numerous obstacles along the way."
 
With the departure of David de Gea, who left the club in July after 12 years when his contract expired, Onana is set to take on the role of United's first-choice goalkeeper.
