The Glazer family, the American owners of the club, are presently engaged in talks regarding the potential sale of Manchester United.
United's chief executive, Richard Arnold, emphasized the iconic nature of their partnership with Adidas, which dates back to the 1980s and has seen numerous innovations in sportswear over the past decade.
The collaboration began again at the start of the 2015-16 season, with Adidas having previously supplied the club's kit from 1980 to 1992.
According to the terms of the new deal, Manchester United is guaranteed a minimum cash payment of £900 million, subject to specific adjustments.
As outlined in their latest annual report, a portion of the yearly payments is linked to the club's participation in the Champions League. If United fails to qualify for the Champions League for two consecutive seasons, the annual payments will be reduced by 30%.
The club expressed their commitment to enhancing focus on the women's team following its reintroduction in 2018. Adidas' chief executive, Bjorn Gulden, expressed the natural fit between Adidas and Manchester United, given their prominence in international football.
