According to a source, Manchester United is not anticipating any offers for Marcus Rashford during this summer's transfer window. The club believes there isn't much of a market for the English striker currently. While United would consider bids exceeding £70 million ($87.8m) for Rashford, they don't expect any team to meet that valuation. Additionally, the club isn't actively seeking to offload the player.
The feeling at Old Trafford, as per ESPN's source, is that only Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) could potentially meet United's fee demands and match Rashford's wage expectations. Although PSG has shown interest in Rashford before, United has been informed that he isn't a priority for them this summer as they look to replace Kylian Mbappé, who is anticipated to join Real Madrid.
Despite Rashford's comparatively lower performance this season, with just eight goals across all competitions, United is determined to resist any attempts to secure his departure for a reduced fee. The club will only consider reasonable bids, emphasizing their stance on maintaining his value in the market.
In a parallel situation, Mason Greenwood, another academy graduate, is expected to leave United this summer. Although he has performed well on loan at Getafe, it's unlikely the Spanish club will be able to afford a permanent transfer. United is seeking a fee between £30 million and £40 million for Greenwood, and similar to Rashford, they won't accept a significantly reduced offer. If their demands aren't met, Greenwood could return to Old Trafford, where he hasn't played since January 2022 due to legal issues that have since been resolved.
