Erling Haaland of Manchester City has clinched the PFA men's players' player of the year accolade, while Bukayo Saka from Arsenal has been honored as the young player of the year.

Haaland, the 23-year-old forward from Norway, made a resounding impact in his debut season with Pep Guardiola's team, netting an impressive 52 goals across all competitions. His remarkable performance outshone other notable contenders including his City teammates Kevin de Bruyne and John Stones, as well as Arsenal's Saka and Martin Odegaard, and Bayern Munich's Harry Kane (formerly of Tottenham).

City's triumphant campaign secured them the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League Treble last season. Reflecting on his achievement, Haaland expressed his gratitude, stating, "It's an honor to win this prestigious award. To be recognized by your competitors is a great feeling and I would like to thank everyone who voted for me."

Saka, the 21-year-old England winger, was awarded the young player prize. Saka's exceptional season with Arsenal saw him contribute 14 goals and 11 assists, earning him this recognition. His victory came over fellow nominees Moises Caicedo, who recently joined Chelsea from Brighton, Jacob Ramsey of Aston Villa, Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli, and Evan Ferguson from Brighton.

Both Haaland and Saka were also selected for the PFA Team of the Year, underlining their influential roles in their respective teams.

In the realm of women's football, the PFA women's player of the year award was secured by Rachel Daly of Aston Villa, while Chelsea's Lauren James was honored as the young player of the year.
