Manchester City has officially signed Abdukodir Khusanov, a 20-year-old defender from Uzbekistan, marking him as the first Uzbek player in Premier League history. Khusanov joined from Lens, who acquired him last summer for €100,000 from Energetik in Belarus.
City paid a total of €50 million, including bonuses, for the young talent, and he has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract, donning the number 45 jersey. In addition to Khusanov, City is also eyeing transfers for Palmeiras' Vitor Reyes and Frankfurt's Omar Marmoush during the summer window.
