Ahead of Manchester United's pre-season friendly against Leeds United, manager Erik ten Hag has included two promising players eligible for the Flying Eagles, Shola Shoretire and Maxi Oyedele, in the traveling squad heading to Oslo, Norway.
Both Anglo-Nigerian teenagers, Shoretire and Oyedele, are in contention to receive valuable pre-season minutes as they feature on the 26-man roster for the match.
Having been training with the first team since the commencement of pre-season preparations at Carrington, Oyedele awaits his debut for Manchester United's senior squad.
On the other hand, Shoretire has already made five competitive appearances out of the fifteen times he has been called up.
Shoretire's impressive performances during his loan spell at National League club Altrincham FC in the latter part of last season, where he netted four goals in twelve outings, earned him a temporary promotion to the first team.
This marks Shoretire's third consecutive involvement with Manchester United's first team during pre-season, indicating the club's belief in his potential.
In the previous season, Manchester United faced Leeds United twice, resulting in a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford and a 2-0 victory for the Red Devils at Elland Road.
