Erling Haaland of Manchester City has made history by becoming the first player to win both the Premier League Player and Young Player of the Year honours in the same year.
The 22-year-old striker has broken the Premier League record for most goals in a season with 36 goals.
Throughout the season, he has totaled 52 goals.
"I am honoured to have become the first player to win both awards in the same season - thank you to everyone who voted for me," said Haaland.
Haaland joined City from Borussia Dortmund last summer and has helped the team win a third straight top-flight title. He garnered the most votes from the general public and a Premier League panel combined.
He has already been recognised as the male footballer of the year by the Football Writers' Association (FWA).
"It has been an incredible first season in the Premier League and lifting the trophy last weekend in front of our fans at the Etihad was a very special moment for me" he added
As they will play Manchester United in the FA Cup final on June 3 and Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10, City is also on track to win the Treble.
