Manchester City’s hopes of securing a Champions League spot remain uncertain after they surrendered the lead twice in a 2-2 draw against Brighton. Erling Haaland opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Omar Marmoush was fouled, but Brighton equalized through Pervis Estupiñán’s well-placed free-kick.
Marmoush restored City’s lead with a long-range strike before the break, only for Abdukodir Khusanov to turn Jack Hinshelwood’s effort into his own net early in the second half. Despite pushing for a winner, City failed to break through, leaving them in fifth place, just one point ahead of Brighton in seventh.
Nottingham Forest strengthened their push for Champions League qualification with an emphatic 4-2 victory over Ipswich. Forest stunned the hosts with three goals in six first-half minutes, as Nikola Milenković fired in the opener before Anthony Elanga struck twice in quick succession.
Jota Silva added a fourth after the break, while Ipswich managed late consolations through Jens Cajuste and George Hirst. The win puts Forest within one point of second-placed Arsenal and six ahead of Manchester City, keeping them firmly in contention for a top finish.
Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers boosted their survival hopes with a 2-1 win at Southampton, thanks to a Jørgen Strand Larsen brace.
Meanwhile, Everton stretched their unbeaten run to nine games after Jake O'Brien’s late equalizer salvaged a 1-1 draw against West Ham. Tomas Souček had given the visitors the lead, but both teams remain level on 34 points, well clear of relegation danger.
