Madueke recalls Drogba's potent strike against Tottenham

Noni Madueke, who helped England win the 2023 European U21 Championship, claimed that his first game as a fan was an FA Cup match between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in 2012.
11 years ago, Madueke was a student at Crystal Palace. In 2014, he transferred to Tottenham Hotspur, and four years later, after turning down a scholarship offer from the north London club, he joined PSV Eindhoven.
The left-footed attacker made a January transfer window return to London and signed a seven-and-a-half-year deal with Chelsea, which included a club option to extend for an additional year.
In the 2012 FA Cup semifinal at Wembley, Chelsea defeated Spurs 5-1, with Didier Drogba scoring the game-winning goal with a strong shot that beat goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini.
John Obi Mikel, Salomon Kalou, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Benoît Assou-Ekotto were additional African athletes paraded in the National Stadium in England.
Madueke stated the following on Chelsea's official website: "My first game was Chelsea against Tottenham, in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley in 2012, when Drogba banged it with his left foot! That was the first-ever game I went to.
"My dad just got us tickets. He’s not a Chelsea fan, but my brother and my sister are, so he just got us tickets for a family day out.
"Didier Drogba got that great goal - I'll always remember that one, when he spun William Gallas and banged it into the top corner - and Chelsea smashed Tottenham 5-1. They won the final that year as well."
