England U21 international of Nigerian descent, Noni Madueke, is contemplating his future at Chelsea as the upcoming transfer window approaches. According to The Telegraph, Chelsea aims to reinforce their squad in January, potentially leading to exits to maintain balance. Noni Madueke, along with Armando Broja, is speculated as a candidate for a potential move away from Stamford Bridge.
Despite initially struggling for playing time last season after joining from PSV Eindhoven, Madueke earned a spot in the starting lineup during Frank Lampard's tenure as a caretaker coach. However, this season, he has faced challenges regaining a starting position after recovering from an injury that kept him out of much of the pre-season.
Under manager Mauricio Pochettino, the 21-year-old has seen limited game time, playing only 119 minutes out of a possible 1,170 in the Premier League. If his situation doesn't improve in the coming weeks, Madueke may consider leaving Chelsea in January to seek regular first-team football.
Madueke signed a seven-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea in January, including a club option for a one-year extension.
