The hat-trick marked Lyon's second win of the season, moving them closer to safety in the relegation battle. Lacazette expressed relief and emphasized the team's commitment to taking it one step at a time.

 

The match saw Lacazette opening the scoring in the 25th minute and doubling the lead shortly after, taking advantage of a rebound. Despite Toulouse being awarded a penalty before halftime, Lyon's goalkeeper Anthony Lopes made a crucial save to maintain their lead.
