Rotherham has officially announced the acquisition of Lagos-born winger Fred Onyedinma from newly-promoted Premier League team, Luton Town.
The 26-year-old player will join the Championship side on a season-long loan, donning the number 14 shirt for his new club.
Having joined Luton Town in 2021, Onyedinma had an impressive debut season, making 29 league appearances and scoring 3 goals across all competitions for the Hatters.
However, his playing time saw a significant reduction last season, with only 6 Championship starts and 11 substitute appearances.
During his two-year stint at Luton Town, Onyedinma managed to contribute 3 goals and provide 7 assists.
Eager to regain regular playing minutes, the Nigeria-born midfielder made the move to Rotherham, seeking to be a key player in their squad.
Onyedinma's football journey began at Millwall, where he showcased his skills in 151 appearances, scoring 12 goals, and assisting on fifteen occasions.
He later moved to Wycombe Wanderers, where he played a pivotal role in their promotion to the Championship in 2020, amassing an impressive record of 23 goals and ten assists in all competitions before departing the club in 2021.
With his eyes set on a successful season with Rotherham, Onyedinma is determined to contribute to the team's pursuit of promotion to the coveted Premier League in the upcoming campaign.
