Luis Enrique to expected to replace Christophe Galtier as PSG manager

Luis Enrique has emerged as a strong candidate for the managerial position at Paris St-Germain following his departure from the Spanish national team after their World Cup exit against Morocco in the round of 16.
Although PSG has not officially confirmed the departure of current boss Christophe Galtier, it is widely anticipated that his tenure at the club will conclude this summer.
Galtier, aged 56, was appointed as Mauricio Pochettino's successor in July 2022 but fell short of meeting expectations. Consequently, PSG has turned to Luis Enrique, aged 53, for the managerial role after unsuccessful negotiations with former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann.
Luis Enrique, who garnered acclaim both as a player and as the head coach of Barcelona from 2014 to 2017, has been linked with various job opportunities since leaving the Spanish national team following the World Cup in Qatar.
PSG is determined to rebuild the club and adopt a team-building approach rather than relying solely on signing high-profile and expensive players. This strategic shift aims to fulfill the Champions League aspirations of the club's Qatari owners, which have remained unmet thus far.
Galtier made a promising start at PSG, going unbeaten in 22 matches across all competitions, and the team held a five-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 before the season was interrupted for the World Cup.
However, PSG struggled upon resumption, suffering nine defeats and narrowly clinching the league title by just one point ahead of Lens. Their Champions League campaign ended in the round of 16 against Bayern Munich.
