Luis Enrique Hails Dembélé After Hat-Trick in PSG's 5-2 Win Over Brest

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique heaped praise on Ousmane Dembélé after the forward netted his second hat-trick in a week during PSG’s 5-2 victory over Brest on Saturday. Dembélé had previously scored three goals in a 4-1 win against VfB Stuttgart, securing PSG’s place in the Champions League playoffs.

 

 Speaking to beIN Sports, Luis Enrique lauded the Frenchman’s versatility and finishing ability, emphasizing that he has the potential to be one of the best if he maintains confidence in front of goal. He also commended the team’s overall performance, highlighting their strong attacking display.

 

Despite PSG’s comfortable margin of victory, Luis Enrique acknowledged the challenges they faced against Brest, a side that has also earned a spot in the Champions League playoffs. He noted that Brest posed a threat with their frequent crosses and attacking play, making it a tough encounter. The match remained competitive until the latter stages, when Gonçalo Ramos sealed the win with a late brace, ensuring PSG extended their unbeaten league run.

 

With this victory, PSG continued their impressive form, remaining unbeaten in Ligue 1 since May 2024. The win strengthens their position at the top of the table as they prepare to host Monaco on Friday. While pleased with the team’s display, Luis Enrique stressed the importance of continuous improvement as they look ahead to upcoming challenges in both domestic and European competitions.
