Towards fostering a football ecosystem that promotes fair play, justice, and equity in alignment with global best practices, the board of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) inaugurated a seven-member Arbitration and Disciplinary Committee on Sunday. The ceremony took place at the LSFA Secretariat in Surulere, marking a significant step towards enhancing the integrity and professionalism of football governance in Lagos State.
The newly formed committee is chaired by Mr. Adedotun Coker, who also serves as the Vice-Chairman of LSFA. This distinguished group is tasked with the crucial responsibility of ensuring that all football-related matters and disciplinary issues are addressed with utmost professionalism. Their role will be pivotal in maintaining the standards of fairness and accountability within the football community.
During the swearing-in ceremony, LSFA Chairman Hajji Gafar Liameed emphasized the importance of the committee's role and expressed high expectations for their performance. Liameed highlighted the committee members' esteemed backgrounds and experience, underscoring that their expertise will be vital in advancing the goals of the LSFA and elevating the standards of football in Lagos State.

The committee's composition includes Adekunle Michael Ogunade as Vice-Chairman, with MacAnthony Anaelechukwu, Barrister Idris Akinyemi, CSP Olawale Adekoya, Barrister Doyin Aina, and Olakunle Fashola serving as members. Each member brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, promising a well-rounded approach to addressing football matters and upholding disciplinary standards.
With the inauguration of this committee, the LSFA aims to set a new benchmark for football governance in Lagos State.
