The Lagos State Football Association Electoral Committee screened candidates for the vacant position of Vice-Chairman on Monday.
In a statement released by Akeem Okikiopusu, the Secretary of the Lagos State Football Association, two aspirants obtained nomination forms to contest the elections: Abdulrahman Aboloren and Adedotun Coker.
According to Alhaji Tijani Abdulazeez, head of the electoral committee, Abdulrahman Abolore was disqualified for violating Article 5L of the Electoral guidelines as released by the committee.
Subsequently, Adedotun Coker, after meeting the requirements, has been cleared as the sole candidate for the Vice Chairmanship Bye Election scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the FA Secretariat on Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos.
It should be noted that the Vice-Chairmanship position became vacant after Hajji Gafar Liameed was unanimously elected by the FA Congress to replace the impeached former Chairman, Fouad Oki.
