Ronwen Williams made history as the only player to win two awards at the ceremony. The South African goalkeeper was named both Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year and Men’s Interclub Player of the Year after his key performances in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and his record-setting contributions to Mamelodi Sundowns' defense.
Other notable winners included Chiamaka Nnadozie of Nigeria, who was named Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the second consecutive time, and Lamine Camara of Senegal, who claimed Men’s Young Player of the Year. Camara stood out for his performances with Monaco and Senegal.
