Abdullahi Jibril, popularly known as "Sara," who worked as a curator for the Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna, has passed away, according to a statement from the club.
The management of the Ikon Allah Boys expressed that the death of the curator, who passed away in the early hours of Thursday, is a grievous loss to the team and the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in general.
The deceased, who participated in the team's morning training program earlier on Thursday, had served as the curator of Niger Tornadoes for nearly three decades until his demise.
In a message of condolence to the family and relatives of the deceased, the Chairman of Niger Tornadoes FC, Engr. Ibrahim Dada, on behalf of the Management, Technical Crew, Players, and Supporting Staff, described the death as shocking but an act of God.
He stated that Abdullahi Jibril's commitment, dedication, and tremendous contribution and service to the state's beloved team can only be emulated and will surely be missed by the entire Niger Tornadoes family and supporters.
The chairman prayed that Allah (SWT) bless the deceased with Aljannah Firdaus and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The deceased, who died at the age of 48, left behind a mother, brothers, and sisters.
According to family sources, the funeral prayers for the deceased are scheduled for 2 pm at the Minna Central Mosque.
