Liverpool win over Villa, Salah contribute goal

Mohamed Salah brushed off speculations about his future with a goal as Liverpool secured a comfortable victory against Aston Villa, maintaining their strong Premier League start.
 
Despite a tempting £150 million offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, Liverpool, under Jurgen Klopp's leadership, firmly rejected the bid, affirming that the 31-year-old Egyptian is not available for transfer.
 
Salah underscored his value to Liverpool by netting their third goal during the second half at Anfield. He fired a shot into the net from Darwin Nunez's cross at the back post, sealing their third consecutive league win.
 
The game got off to a swift start, with Dominik Szoboszlai scoring his inaugural goal for Liverpool within three minutes, with a precise strike through a crowded penalty area.
 
Villa, who had been prolific scorers since their opening-season 5-1 loss to Newcastle, struggled defensively, leaving ample space for Liverpool's forwards to exploit. In the 22nd minute, Nunez's shot hit the post and deflected off the unfortunate Matty Cash, extending Liverpool's lead.
 
During a dominant first half, Liverpool looked capable of scoring every time they attacked. However, Villa's situation worsened when center-back Diego Carlos sustained an early injury and had to be substituted.
 
Nunez, who had been lively throughout, came close to securing his third goal in two games, but his shot struck the crossbar. In the second half, keeper Alisson made a crucial save to parry away Cash's header. Nonetheless, Salah's second goal of the season secured the victory, propelling Liverpool to third place in the Premier League, trailing leaders Manchester City by two points.
