Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League after a 3-1 comeback win over struggling Leicester City, moving seven points clear. Despite Leicester's poor form, with five losses in their last seven matches, they shocked Anfield with an early lead, courtesy of Jordan Ayew's sharp finish in the sixth minute.
Liverpool responded just before halftime, with Cody Gakpo curling in a brilliant finish to level the score. The hosts came out strong in the second half, and Curtis Jones marked his 100th Premier League appearance by scoring the go-ahead goal from an Alexis Mac Allister cross just four minutes after the restart.
Leicester, now in the relegation zone after a third consecutive loss, had a chance to equalize but missed a golden opportunity when Patson Daka mishit a shot in front of goal. Mohamed Salah then sealed the victory for Liverpool, scoring his 19th goal of the season to make it 3-1, leaving the leaders in a dominant position at the top of the table.
