Leicester manager reveals reason for Ndidi's absence

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has provided an explanation for Wilfred Ndidi's absence in their recent victory over Sunderland in an English Championship match held at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.
The sole goal of the match was netted by James Justin, who headed the ball into the net from a corner kick in the 12th minute.
This win has secured a historic record for the Foxes, as they become the third team in English second-tier history to win 12 out of their first 13 games.
Wilfred Ndidi's absence came as a surprise, considering his exceptional performance for the Foxes this season, having played in every Championship game before this particular encounter.
Manager Maresca shed light on the reason for the omission of the Super Eagles midfielder from the matchday squad. He stated, as reported by LeicestershireLive, "Wilf is dealing with fatigue, and it's more than just tiredness. He requires some rest, and we don't want to take any unnecessary risks with him. There's a possibility Wilf could play on Saturday; we'll assess it."
Wilfred Ndidi has had an outstanding start to the season, playing in a more attacking role under Maresca and contributing to four goals in 12 league games.
