Leicester coach addresses Iheanacho's future amid increasing interest

Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca, has revealed plans for contract discussions with Kelechi Iheanacho, whose current deal has only a year remaining, raising uncertainties about his future. 

Iheanacho, who has garnered interest from clubs like Everton, Nottingham Forest, and Saudi Pro League teams, has become a fan favorite despite occasional struggles to secure a regular starting spot since joining in 2017. 

As the reigning Player of the Year, he notched 8 goals and 5 assists last season and has made a promising start to the current season with 2 goal contributions in 3 games. 

Maresca emphasized the club's desire to retain the Super Eagles striker but acknowledged the final decision rests with the player, with discussions soon to clarify the situation. 

Iheanacho has impressive statistics, amassing 56 goals and 34 assists in 209 appearances for the former Premier League champions.
