Leicester City 2-1 West Ham United: Leicester City relegated due to Everton's victory over Bournemouth

Despite defeating West Ham on the last day of the season, Leicester City's nine-year tenure in the Premier League came to an end as they were painfully relegated.
Going into the last round of games, the destiny of the Foxes was already sealed, and Everton's 1-0 victory against Bournemouth guaranteed that the 2015-16 champions fell by two points into the Championship.
At the King Power Stadium, Leicester supporters were forced to lament a terrible season in which they won only nine league games, while Toffees fans were in ecstasy at Goodison Park.
Leicester went close early on, knowing they needed a victory to have any hope of staying in the division, as Kelechi Iheanacho exchanged passes with James Maddison before curling a ferocious shot that clipped the crossbar.
In order to take the lead at halftime and maintain their advantage in goal differential, the home team did finally break the scoreless tie through Harvey Barnes' composed finish off of Iheanacho's assist.
In a tense second half, Jonny Evans came dangerously close to heading into his own goal, but the crowd fell silent as Everton scored.
Before Wout Faes headed in Leicester's second goal, the visitors' Said Benrahma had a lovely curling attempt hit the post.
The Hammers ended 14th, six points above the drop zone, as Pablo Fornals scored a goal off the post.
