Leah Williamson, an Arsenal player who was injured three months before the World Cup, represented England

Leah Williamson, the captain of England, will be praying that her World Cup spot is not in jeopardy after leaving Arsenal's Women's Super League loss at Manchester United with what appears to be a knee injury.
Williamson seemed to injure her knee and slumped in anguish 12 minutes into a top-of-the-table match.
The stretcher was promptly called to carry her off when she signaled to the bench for assistance. Williamson lifted herself to a standing position before two medical personnel assisted her in leaving the playing area.
This setback might be terrible news for Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses, who are already expected to be without Beth Mead due to an anterior cruciate ligament rupture sustained in November, with fewer than 100 days until the start of the World Cup.
Williamson's injury is still unknown at this time, according to Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall, who also suggested that the Leigh Sports Village field may have had a part in it.
"I don't have too much information on it," he said after the game. "Of course, it's not good that she has to come off.
"I think if you see the pitch here today, it is a pitch that has a lot more to ask for and I think it's going to continue here with the playing schedule. Playing on pitches like that, of course players are going to get injured. "
