Having had a baptism of fire in their first competitive match in the elite league against Kano Pillars, Ikorodu City FC is now chasing their first point in another away match against struggling Kwara United FC.
The Oga Boys received a fierce beating from Sai Masu Gida in Katsina during their first-ever appearance in the NPFL, suffering a three-goal defeat.

However, the coach of the side, Bright Ozebagbe, is now set for another confrontation with Kwara United, who also lost their first match of the season to Niger Tornadoes.
Bright Ozebagbe of Ikorodu City FC, ahead of the match, says his team is motivated to achieve a good result against Kwara United.
After a long week of rest due to Rangers’ commitments on the continent, the Oga Boys will face the Harmony Boys in Ilorin in an NPFL Match Day 3 encounter.
He said: "Well, we are thankful. We needed that after a long trip to Katsina. We rested well, and now we have had enough time to practice and improve where we needed to.
"I think it helps take away the expectations, stress, and anxiety of a debut season from the boys.
“Hopefully, we can get a result in Ilorin, and then we can come back home with even more hunger.
"The boys are ready; they are relaxed. There are no injury worries, and they are all motivated to go. We are not leaving any stone unturned."
Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between both sides in the elite league.
