League B Kicks Off with Key Matchups in UEFA Nations League

In the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League, League B features a competitive lineup with 16 teams, including England, Wales, Türkiye, Czechia, and Norway. The league is structured into four groups of four teams each, and the fixtures will kick off on September 6. Norway will begin their campaign against Kazakhstan, with other opening matches including Wales versus Türkiye and Slovenia versus Austria. The following night will showcase a much-anticipated clash between the Republic of Ireland and England, while Czechia will face Georgia.

 

The League B matches will be played throughout September, October, and November 2024. Teams will play each other home and away, with the top team in each group earning promotion to League A for the next edition. The second-placed teams will compete in promotion/relegation play-offs against the third-placed teams from League A, while the third-placed teams in League B will face off against runners-up from League C. The bottom team in each group will be relegated to League C.

 

The fixture list for the first matchday includes key games like Iceland versus Montenegro and Greece against Finland. Subsequent matchdays will see high-stakes encounters such as England versus Greece and Finland versus the Republic of Ireland, along with several crucial fixtures in November. The last round of matches on November 17 will include England against the Republic of Ireland and Norway versus Kazakhstan.

 

The tournament will conclude with knockout round play-offs in March 2025, leading up to the League A quarterfinals. The final tournament is scheduled for June 2025. This structure aims to provide an engaging and competitive experience throughout the league, culminating in exciting promotions and relegations.
