The League Bloggers Association (LBA) on Tuesday revealed the list of players who stood out in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for individual and club awards.
Bendel Insurance's goaltender, Amas Obasagie, emerged as the "Goalkeeper of the Year," having secured a record for the most clean sheets in the League for a goalkeeper and the most clean sheets this season.
Remo Stars' highly dependable left-back and Super Eagles invitee, Sodiq Ismail, emerged as the "Defender with the Most Goal Contributions." He also received recognition as the defensive player with the most assists in the League for the second consecutive season.
Kano Pillars' Rabiu Ali, with 19 goal contributions, was recognized for the most goal contributions by a midfielder in the League this past season.
Sani Suleiman earned the "Two-Time Player of the Month" award this season in the League and also had the best goal-against ratio per game, with 15 goal contributions in 16 League games.
Enyimba International FC's goal king, Chijioke Mbaoma, emerged as the League's Top Scorer with 17 goals.
Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars FC settled for the Golden Boot and Runner-Up as one of the highest earners in the League.
Kenneth Igboke, Kazeem Ogunleye, and Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, title winners with Rangers International, also received recognition for their contributions to Rangers International FC's title-winning campaign.
