Lagos FA Pre-Season Day 2: Broad City qualifies as Real Sapphire crash out

Real Sapphire Football Club has been knocked out of the ongoing Lagos FA Pre Season tournament, thus becoming the first casualty of the competition ongoing at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena formally known as Onikan Stadium.

In the first match of the day, Broad City defeated Real Sapphire 1-0 to book a place in the quarter final. The team, Broad City also humbled Lekki United 3-0 in their opening match to garner six points in their group.

Broad City has joined First Bank FC in the quarter final stage.

This is not the best of time for Real Sapphire after they failed to honour their opening match and narrowly lose to Broad City. Real Sapphire have zero point in their two matches and they stand no chance of qualifying for the next stage.

Ikorodu City also suffered a defeat today following their 1-2 loss to Magic Stars. With this defeat, Ikorodu boys have three points and they need outright victory against Buruj FC on Wednesday if they want to qualify for the next stage.
