Kylian Mbappé remains unconfirmed for Paris Saint-Germain contract extension, with unspecified price clause

Kylian Mbappé has not agreed to a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain, which would include a clause requiring the club to sell him next summer for an unspecified price.
The deadline for his decision passed on Tuesday, and the situation between the player and the club remains unchanged. While Mbappé received a "loyalty bonus" from PSG, he is now just 11 months away from becoming a free agent, and the club is making efforts to prevent him from leaving without compensation.
The club offered Mbappé a new contract, but he turned it down, as reported by journalist Ben Jacobs. The proposed contract included a clause allowing him to leave next summer for a specific price, although the amount was not determined.
The intention was to demonstrate the club's commitment to selling him. However, the star chose to reject the offer.
As a result of the ongoing situation, Mbappé's picture has been removed from the squad page on the club's website. In the squad list, new acquisitions Lucas Hernandez and Kang-In Lee are now featured alongside Neymar, as well as veterans Marquinhos and Marco Verratti.
It is anticipated that Mbappé will not be included in PSG's squad for their French league opener against Lorient on August 12, according to information from Spanish envoy to Paris, Andres Onrovia Ramos.
Without him, the team struggled during their three games in Japan, failing to secure a single victory. The French champions drew 1-1 against Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr, lost 3-2 to local Cerezo Osaka, and suffered a 2-1 defeat to Inter.
