The management of Kwara United, under the leadership of Kumbi Titiloye, has praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his continuous support as the 2023/2024 NPFL season ended on Sunday with the Harmony Boys securing an emphatic 4-0 victory over visiting Heartland of Owerri.
United's win against the Naze Millionaires ensures that the management, led by Kumbi Titiloye, has maintained the club's top-flight status for five consecutive years without relegation.
In the history of Kwara United, this marks the first time ever that the club has remained in the NPFL for five years without dropping into the second tier of the league.
The General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, affirmed that Kwara United will strive hard next season to once again compete in CAF competitions.
He commended all stakeholders, fans, supporters, and well-wishers in Kwara and beyond for their support and prayers, emphasizing that the club's management, coaching staff, and players deeply appreciate the outpouring of love and kindness.
"We first want to express our gratitude to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman, who is our number one fan. We appreciate his unwavering support and pledge that Kwara United will bring joy to everyone next season.
"We also extend our thanks to all stakeholders, fans, and all Kwarans at home and abroad for their support and confidence in the team from the beginning to the end of the season.
"Thank you all for your affection, and with the grace of Almighty Allah, next season will be even better for Kwara United," explained Bashir Badawiy.
In the just-concluded NPFL season, Kwara United finished 13th in the final standings with 51 points.
