2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 1: Kwara United seek fans' support ahead of season opener with Niger Tornadoes

Kwara United players have solicited fan support ahead of their first game of the 2024-25 season. The Harmony Boys will start the new season with a match against Niger Tornadoes. The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.


In separate interviews, the players have called for massive support ahead of the game. “We call on all Kwara people to come out and support your beloved team, Kwara United,” midfielder Abdulrahman Shola said. “We want you to come out en masse to support us in our first game against Niger Tornadoes,” stated another player, Sani Nurudeen. Emmanuel Ogbole added, “Let us all come out for Kwara United in the new season.”

 


Kwara United managed to escape relegation last season.


For Ikon Allah Boys, it will be another litmus test following a challenging pre-season. Having signed fewer players compared to Kwara United FC, which has unveiled 17 players so far, it will definitely be a tough challenge.
