Enugu Rangers wasted a glorious opportunity for what could have been their first away win in Ilorin against Kwara United, as they were forced into a stalemate that ended 1-1 against the Afonja Warriors.
The Flying Antelopes drew first blood against the Afonja Warriors but squandered the effort as they failed to hold on for the win and all 3 points.
Kazeem Ogunleye of Rangers International FC scored in the 34th minute to give his team the lead they needed at the Kwara State Sports Complex in Ilorin. However, the Kabiru Dogo-tutored Afonja Warriors equalized in the 53rd minute through Mohammed Alao, and the encounter ended 1-1.
The Coach of Rangers International FC, Fidelis Ilechukwu, had hoped for improvements in their travels by earning a point in Ilorin, which, in fact, is their first on the road this season. This helped them climb to 3rd place on the NPFL Log.
