Katsina United entered Match Day 4 following a goalless draw against Lobi Stars on Matchday 3 of the Nigeria Premier Football League in Katsina.
The clash on Match Day 4, held at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, witnessed the Chanji Boys falling behind to a Christian Nnaemeka's strike within four minutes. However, Michael Ibe leveled the score at 1-1 in the 74th minute for Katsina United, benefiting from Moses Effiong's cornerkick to tap home an unmarked ball.
"It was a fantastic game," Bolus stated moments after the final whistle. "My boys showed great attitude and character. We struggled to adapt to the pitch because it was too bumpy, affecting our playing style and leading to conceding an early goal in the first half. Nevertheless, we came out stronger in the second half, demonstrating our determination to achieve a positive result despite the challenging pitch conditions, and we earned a well-deserved equalizer," Bolus explained.
